Right on. This has always been one of my favorite vids to have students watch. Give's them a good idea on radio calls, a quick pattern, pre-landing checks and someone with presumably 20-ish hours. Makes it seem "within reach" for them.

@Magpul So you guys are going to start giving helicopter instruction too? You have now covered both of my two main interests: guns and helos :-D

Nice job. Have you qualified yet?

So who's learning to fly? Sounds a bit like Mr. Costa.

only 25h and flying alone?..realy?..so different in Spain..

aint that the truth! imhaving a hard time with slopes now, there getting easier, but its a bitch to balance it on one skid!!
Did I hear that correctly...."northbound departure approved, winds 180 at 10"? Was that a north takeoff with a 10 kt tailwind? Hmmmm. :^)

You heard correctly but the runway was not totally north and it was in fact a quartering tail wind on take off. Unfortunately in the other direction is the main (and busy) runway for fixed wing traffic so departure routes for helicopters are limited.

Was that a little LTE in the left crosswind taxi, toward the end? Don't you hate that? Awesome video.

Yes we had gusting winds that caught me for a moment before I could correct.

That looked like one of my set downs. "thud"

Yep my set downs didn't get much better till I had practice on slopes. After slopes setting down level was easy.
