  • What are you talking about when you posted this it was 1 week into his new contract you have no baseball knowledge.

  • they have to sign uggla now. i dont believe this team should hand out too many long term deals and i dont think they're payroll will be able to get above 60million even after they move into the new ballpark but uggla deserves a long to term deal and more importantly it is in the marlins best interest to sign him and soon. with every home run he hit his cost is going up. he has averaged 30 homeruns per season so far and this year is going to be insane for him. sign uggla now!

  • that is a good idea but do not get rid of Jacobs because look wht he has done in 2008 he might have 35 homers n ley go of Willingham he is on the team for no reason they already have good young out-fielders who want thier chance to play and should

  • Miller and Maybin are still wild cards and the Marlins are against long term contracts with pitchers because the risk of injury is too great. I hope Maybin works out but we can't count chickens 'til they've hatched... Uggla has hatched.

  • I completely agree with you about Jake, Uggla, and McPherson but they don't have to re-sign Willingham because he was injured this year and missed a lot of time. He will have his worst statistical season and the marlins can use the injury against him in arbitration. These factors will keep him under 4 million. The marlins would have to pay more if they signed him. The marlins are too stingy to pay more than they have, and they are right to be. Willingham deserves the contract but wont get it.

  • it's suppose to be about $70,000,000 in 2011.

  • Re-sign Uggla and Willingham and get rid of Jacobs, Move Cantu to first, and McPherson to 3rd.

  • They need to get Andrew Miller in a couple years to, but I firmly believe Cameron Maybin will be the best Florida Marlin ever.
