@yurasleepless I just bought some new monitors a couple months ago. spent 4 hours A/B testing every monitor at the GC and I was really Left surprisingly unimpressed by the krk 6" series. very muddy sound. ended up coming down between the mackies and the JBLs I ended up going with the jbl's they just had a better all around sound to em. (jbl 2325 series) for my smaller monitors.... they sound amazing. and were fairly cheap only paid about $500 for the pair. with GC 3 year replacement warrany.

i didnt like the 8" to much middle frequencies not enogh bass
thats why i combine my 5" (great highs) with a sub
but yeah
6"ers + sub would be maybe even better
depends also on music u wanna do
