great tutorials. I 've used the 4416 for some years putting a good few cds out featuring mainly rockabilly stuff. One question I have, as it's not too clear in the manuals, how easy is to connect the host output, to say, a laptop purely for 4416 screen to be enlarged? Thanks again for the well presented help.

Hello Wiz, First of all I would like to thank you for this wonderful tutorial. Love your organization and clarity of communication. I have had this machine for some time and keep coming back to it especially now that I am adding vocals for the first time. My question is about efx set up. all the routing seem to be like yours but yet my effex1 goes on aux8 and efx 2 aux7. I can.t seem to figure out how to reverse that I hope its not some glitch with my unit. Could you help. Cheers.

Please if you can post more tutorials..
I had my AW (used) for about 3yrs & am learning it at snail pace..If I had this earlier I wouldn't have been bouncing back to protools..Anyway, bless up! The best thus far!
Firstly thank you every one for your comments...I only just realised they were here...8)...
I do plan on doing some more recording tutorials, maybe more generalistic than AW specific, but you never know...8).
Now to answer this specific question...yes there are a few ways to get tracks from the AW to a PC (and now Mac as well).
ADAT transfer MY8-AT card to PC/MAC (2 cards for 16 tracks at once)
Two tracks at a time SPDIF
Extract the tracks from a backup disc using AWEXTRACT(search on yahoo)
