This video clip is an excerpt from a film titled "A Partnership for Prosperity: Public Servants in Southern Sudan." A Partnership for Prosperity is a thirty-minute documentary produced, written, edited, and filmed by Malcolm E. Glover. The documentary focuses on the economic development and community empowerment initiatives taking place in Southern Sudan. The film also provides a detailed look at the efforts of a global cadre of dedicated volunteers, who are working with Southern Sudanese citizens in order to strengthen war-torn communities and rebuild livelihoods.
Over the course of three months during the summer of 2006, Malcolm Glover filmed the documentary in cities and villages throughout Southern Sudan and at the Kakuma Refugee Camp in northern Kenya. Glover finished the documentary in the Summer of 2007. The documentary was awarded the President's Volunteer Service Award from USA Freedom Corps and President George W. Bush's Council on Service and Civic Participation in recognition and appreciation of Glover's commitment to strengthening the global community and making a difference through volunteer service.
