Luciano Pavarotti - Andrea Chenier Act Two- Ora Soave-1996

Metropolitan with Guleghina and Pons, Levine Conducting. Pavarotti at the end of his operatic career in his final new role..as I post this I hear on the radio that Luciano is gravely ill.I wish I had the chance to thank him for the great pleasure he has given me for so long.Bravo Luciano!

It's amazing how Pavarotti not only sings perfectly but it's his face and his acting what moves you to tears... Not only a great singer, but an incredible stage actor... The whole package for lyric perfection.

I saw one of these performances live. I remember being completely stunned by how huge her voice was. Whenever they sang together all you could hear was her. One of the few voices I heard really fill that house. She had such a lovely feminine quality back then, I wonder what happened...
