besides the guy who wrote the bible is just an individual example of a human moral standpoint mixed with ulterior motives 2000 years ago. i wouldnt even give a guy in the street moral dominion over the world let alone a 2000 year old one...

Religions are the ultimate thieves OF moral codes, so there no need to discuss 'commonalities'. as always, theyre bluffing that religion is the source of moral codes and that morals aren't the source of moral codes. every aspect is psychological and sinister and this particular trick in the book is just putting a name tag on collective human morals.

Well said. I have an approach to religious people who possess some self control. If they can listen, or discuss for more than 5 seconds without quoting some bullshit religious text. That approach is to discuss the commonalities between all religions,and cultural moral codes. Joseph Campbell's (The Power of Myth) is an excellent series with Bill Moyers interviewing, From the Sepic River Crocodile men of New Guinea,to the bullshit from the Vatican. Theres really no substancial difference.

well I'm neutral on those two videos. The language is pretty mild compared to Pat Condell and I'll let the opposing views balance the scale. Just for the record though, I think it's a pretty ridiculous statement to say God hates fags insomuch as God demonstrated His love in that while we are all sinners Christ died for us.It just takes a long time for some to grow and mature in the faith once a she/he trusts. to be honest im not even sure if religion will still BE HERE in another 50 or 60 years. we will be in space by then. space traveling would render faith/religion even more non-believable.
