This style is a really simple hair style and I have actually already done it before in my video where I style my first twists. I wore this style in my New Naturals Guide to Moisturizing video and it caught the eye of a subscriber who asked me to do this video for the Protective Style Challenge Series. I start with (2) two strand twists. I twist/roll my twists to the back and pin to secure the hair. I do it all the way around only leaving out some twists in the front for the bang area. Then after I've pinned my hair all around on the sides and back I unravel the twists in the bang and throw on a headband. For variations to protect the bangs you just make a pompadour in the front or pin the bangs to the side to protect the ends.

  • Best tutorial for us naturals

  • @Makemb Why are you writing this everywhere except where you are supposed to write it? Go to my channel and watch the video that starts playing. When it says click here and you see a grey box with words that says click here., click there. It will take you to the video. You don't write this on any of my videos. I am not giving the contest. Natural Heart Awards are having the contest so you need to subscribe to them and click on the links and write the stuff on their videos. Did u watch the video?

  • I didn't even realize you had this channel (besides "lilchez1") so I just got your message about this vid. Thanks so much! :) My first attempt was" whack" but now that I see the rear of yours, I will try again. Gotta get the number and spacing of the twists right. Thanks again, just subscribed to this channel too.

  • @naturallypeaceful Lol. I was wondering why you never said anything about it. Yeah the porosity of the twists can be tricky. Mine are thin in the front and sides and then starts getting real thick in the back. I don't know why I find it so hard to use bobby pins. lol. I can take me forever to get it right in the back if I cared. I just had to stop caring and make the front look better to make up for the back. Lol. Keep trying though. It'll get easier I hope.

  • That is the first protective style that I would actually wear outside! Love it!

  • @Apryle2009 Awesome. Glad you like it.

  • My earlier reply went bye-bye. I leave a few twists out in the front on one side and spiral curl on a sponge roller. A fringe bang. Thanks for responding!

  • @kanon1964 Oh cool. What do you mean. You pinned the front twists to one side?

  • That's a cute style. I've rocked that many a time, with a couple of twists hanging down on one side in the front.

  • @victoria0402 Thanks sis. Yeah try it out!
