This is a powerful look at the Sleepout Campaign. Each year, hundreds of people in the western suburbs of Minneapolis spend one night sleeping outside to raise money for Interfaith Outreach and Community Partners (IOCP). IOCP helps hundreds of families keep their homes, their dignity and their families intact. Despite the success of the Sleepout, IOCP still has to turn away families. You can help. Read more about IOCP and make a donation at www.iocp.org. Homeless Is... was written and produced by Wayzata Free Church. www.wayzatafree.org
Ray, The Sleep Out begins this Saturday, Nov. 14 and runs until Dec. 23. I'm sorry to hear that you are homeless, but grateful you have some shelter. Anyone who lives in our service area (Hamel, Long Lake, Medicine Lake, Medina, Minnetonka Beach, Orono, Plymouth, and Wayzata) is eligible for services, including employment counseling. Our phone is 952-473-2436. I wish you all the best. God bless!
