What a sweet video. In addition to being very good instruction, it was a joy to see the pleasure of the person learning to ride.

Great video! Am in the process of teaching my 4 yo son how to ride, and although I am a proficient rider myself having raced bmx's while growing up and moving on the motorbikes when able I was struggling with the process of passing on the knowledge to my boy. This vid has some great (extremely basic - 'why didnt I think of that' type material) tips that I will certainly be using. Cheers!

I'm twenty-five ages going on twenty-six years old and the only bike I know how to ride is a three-wheeler bike. I really want to learn how to ride a two-wheeler so I don't need to ride a three wheeler but not trying to put the people who ride a three wheeler believe they're cool but really want to master the two wheeler as part as my goals.

Your vid was mighty helpful. I bought a cute pink bike last year. And after a couple of crashes I gave up. But I see know that my technique of getting on the bike and peddling fast without first mastering my balance was competely wrong. I'm going to try again and, with time, finally get rid of this baby fat. Plus the bike will help save money from buying expensive gas.
Thank you for giving me the confidence to try again.

You need a teacher to learn how to ride a bike?
Just sit your arse on the seat and keep trying... if you fall, you fall on one side and it doesn't really hurt if you wear a jacket or jeans. I cycle even when the roads are frozen and slipped a lot, lol..

Well this gives me hope. I'm a 27 year old male and this has always been a cause of shame but I am determined to master it this year.

Can you Advice Me Guys?

@Koolsta345 Please. I'm almost 18 and can't ride a bike. Don't feel bad.
It is hard to say what the problem is and what is not perfect without seeing you ride. Turning is a combination of slightly turning the handlebars and slightly leaning. If you are looking down a lot try looking out in front of the bike to where you want to go. Getting the hang of this might just take practice and time in the saddle.

Can I do this without taking the pedals off? I don't have the equipment for that.

@cosmicvids It is not necessary to take the pedals off, but in this situation it helps to have the seat a little low because to avoid the pedals you will be putting your feet on the ground a little wider -- further from the bike.

When I push my bike I don't get very far. Do I have to practice on a downhill surface?

@musicraze66 It can help if there is at least a slight slope, but the technique can be used on a flat parking lot. The important element is to break the learning up into task; balance, then add pedaling, etc.

I'm so lame.. I'm 24 and I don't know how to ride a bike :( My sister and I bought a bicycle last week and I still have not learned to ride it. I fail at balancing :(

@mundanelifeof It is hard to know what would help you pick-up balancing quicker without seeing the process. If you are looking down, it will help you to look further out in front of the bike. It can be hard to balance if you are going to slow so if you are riding the breaks to much relax and allow a little more speed. Good luck.
