Hi Braunbaue86, it´s really nice review, helps me to decide to choose Dell Latitude E6400 series. Actually I own a Dell Inspiron, but for my job I need more portable notebooks. I was considering purchase Lenovo ThinkPad T series, but since it´s not belong to IBM and some bad reports about the HD, I change my mind. It´s really clarifing video, thanks and keep posting new videos reviews.

Thanks for your time and effort. I'm thinking of the E6400 myself and your review hasn't dampened my enthusiasm. Good info on the backlit keyboard too.

i wonder why DELL didnt make the volume buttons with LED light up. Also no HDMI port - & DELL should allow ordinary users to buy latitude range business machines

CAn you put in a mouse? and how does it do with video games?

You have to press the FN button and the right arrow button. This only works if you ordered the backlit keyboard as an option. The standard E6400 comes just with the standard keyboard without backlight
Could you comment on the DVD/ CD drive? I read in another review that it was quite noisy.

No, to me it is not very noisy. Of course you can hear it but I also had louder drives.

Did not review the type of OS that came with the system or available options.

There are too many available options. I only mentioned what I ordered.
Mine came with Vista Home Basic. I am using Win XP Pro, that is why I ordered the cheapest OS available by Dell. You can't order without OS.

what keys do you use to use the webcam?

There are no keys for the webcam. You need a software which supports a webcam. Skype e.g.
