Footsteps (Original)

Hey,

here it is: Our original song "Footsteps". My acoustic band called "Deeper Meaning" and me, we've been working so hard and so long on it now, it really took us forever to record the audio and me to edit the video. This song has a much deeper meaning than it appears to have on the surface. What is your interpretation of this song? Tell us in the comments. ;) I wrote it in December of last year, that's why there is snow in it, haha. We thought of changing it to 'sand' but it didn't really work out. Winter is over now, we hope you can enjoy it though. Please tell us what you think -- was it worth the hard work? We really hope you like it and if you do so, we'd love you to share it with your friends!

Is this a song about the fears of becoming an adult and leaving school and the safety blanket of everything you know, to begin a new life of uncertainty, not really knowing which path your life will take? Your lonely footsteps in the snow are now fading away as your life is changing

@pedgeman I'm impressed. This is a very good interpretation and what you're saying about this life of uncertainty is definitely right. Actually, everything is right and part of what I was thinking when I wrote the song.

lovely :) My interpretation is probably off, but your song made me think about someone looking back on their life, especially their childhood, and the 'child' inside 'breathes out' and 'sings out loud', but all the child can do is just be a part of you... just how time moves forward so fast, and the moments (the footsteps) seem to disappear, and how sad that can be... not sure though. Am I close, or way off? :) Whatever the case, this is great song. :)

This is an amazing song... My absolute favorite song at the moment...

The instruments are played well, the text is sooo good!!!

It sounds like it is recorded in a professional studio, don´t know how you do this in your room :D
