Haha... I was back and forth on Rei's "role" for a long time. In the end I couldn't resist the image of Rei ironing her underwear. XD And it adds a whole new dimension of irony to the line "you make that very small apartment we share a hell."
Or maybe Kaworu should've been Rod. Hmm.
