i think septum piercings are kinda like 50/50 on the extreme ends of the scale. either it really hurt or it was practically painless. i got lucky i guess. i think it has to do with the spot, if they pierce you through cartilage then of course it's going to be painful. i was lucky enough to be pierced through the sweet spot which is just a quick pinch and then super easy to heal. my belly button on the other hand was def my most painful. just depends per person.
