Tied together are the two boats. In the video you can see the calliope on the DQ has been covered to protect it while it is layed up.

  • JammerJaws, incredible...impressive...and very sad. I need a favor, my video friend. On the Delta Queen please give the door to stateroom 322 a cheerful pat. And if you can find the time give the door to Mississippi Queen stateroom 402 the same lovin'...thanks! And keep these videos coming, they're great!

  • @JammerJawz Do you have any video of the coal furnaces/boilers of either boat?

  • Mystery question:

I heard this song in Movie World, Gold Coast, Australia

    What is the title?

  • @riverexplorer :.( People have no respect.... are you sure it wasn't removed for safe keeping? You'd think someone would notice someone else stealing a calliope... Also, what is the fate of the Mississippi Queen? The Delta Queen is a bit more publicized...

  • @guitboxchicken They stole the WHOLE thing...sans the manifold and keyboard. All the valves and whistles are gone. How much you wanna bet that thing shows up on ebay in a couple of years?

  • @riverexplorer Don't tell me somebody stole pieces of the calliope on the Mississippi Queen?

  • Very sad, and fitting music. Someone needs to save the Queens.

  • wow, kinda creapy ,, but thanks for posting it, !

  • Thanks for showing my beloved calliope is hidden from prying eyes! Wish they had done the same for the MQ calliope...it could have saved at least that part of her! Thank you for the great job you are doing preserving these great boats and the images you are sharing with us all!
