http://www.youtube.com/user/TacticalHadoken Has been requesting this review for weeks LOL so here it is.

The Fox Bantay folder is produced in Italy by Fox Knives. It was designed by Borut Kincl, a Slovenian military trainer and Filipino Knife instructor. It features a clip point recurve blade, 3.75 inches in blade length, N690Co Austrian stainless steel, G-10 handle scales with indexing craters, liner lock with manual LAWKS secondary lock, and tungsten glassbreaker. Also comes with embroidered zippered soft case.

These are hard to get in the US. I got this from AtoZknives.com, they have one last one available as of today, for $140. Fox Knives USA has these on their website for $180. This knife is around the same quality level as a Spyderco Military, so a fair price would probably be around the same as the Spyderco Military, plus a bit more for the cost of importing it from Italy.

Note: Tagalog pronunciation "bahn-tai" or "ban-tie"

  • Great review !!!Just another topic can you make a video for knifes sharpening ? And what kind of sharpener do you use ? They are so many and i'm lost .To give you a reference of the knife's i have just the brands fallkniven, zero telerance, kabar, ontario, cold steel.I whant a good one not a elcheapo one that will scrap my knife's.Thanx in advance !!!

  • @buggymak - thanks, friend! have you checked out lsutigers1010 and jdavis882 videos on sharpening?

  • Is it really comfortable to use as a palm stick? It's really wide at the top, and narrow at the other end. Won't you slide down on the grip if you strike with the pommel?

  • @Chiburi - No, it won't slide if you cap the end with your thumb.

  • Great reviews. This is the first 'tacticle folder' I've liked in a long time... is that weird? For someone to be prejudice against tacticle folders? Idk, they just haven't rang my bell since I was a lilhorsechoker lol ... but yours there is very fine indeed...

  • @sirhorsechoker - Now you are filthy just like the rest of us!

Correction. They are not Japanese. It's Chinese. I realized many people in internet call Chinese character Japanese, probably because they think calling it Japanese is cooler? Just like the word on hissatsu folder's blade is Chinese. Japanese just happen to use Chinese words and call them Kanji. Most if not all of Japanese "Kan Ji" are Chinese Character. That's why they call them "KanJi", because "Kan Ji" == "汉字" which is literally translated as "Han(as in Han Chinese) Character".

  • @paintball626 The last 3 are scripts are Baybayin. The first 3 are Japanese Kanji. Both spell "Guardian"

  • That is a seriously sick blade. Love the length the recurve ands to the edge. Might look into Fox Knives. I only carry deep carry blade for edc, like SOG Aegis Tanto, but this could go in my waistband.
