you dont need to leave space at the top for air, as neons do not breathe air from the top of the tank. They do not have the labrinth organ like bettas or gouramis, and can only breath while under water.

rubbish. made by someone who has never bred neons in their life. no word of ph or hardness of the water. no word of the aftercare of eggs, or fry. I've been breeding neons off and on for 40 years, and its not that easy.
