At the First Fridays Artwalk in February, Style Weekly launches its Midseason Arts Issues, toasts the Richmond arts community and holds an exhibit featuring newspaper boxes transformed by local artists.
We also join in a special recognition ceremony of local nominees for the Governor's Arts Awards, led by Richmond Ballet's Keith Martin and former first lady of Virginia, Jeannie Baliles.
The event, which drew long lines outside Ghostprint Gallery Feb. 6, explored the art of the everyday. Art 180's "Change for a Ten" project inspired the exhibit. The evening was co-sponsored by First Market Bank and Ghostprint Gallery, with special thanks to Mosaic Unique Events.
