II. CORALE (Choir 2)
Wie sich ein Vater erbarmet Just as a father has mercy
über seine jungen kinderlein, on his young little children,
so tut der Herr uns Armen, so does the Lord unto us poor,
so wir ihn kindlich fürchten rein. so we innocently fear him, like children.
Er kennt das arm Gemächte, He knows our feeble doings,
Gott weiß, wir sind nur Staub, God knows we are merely dust,
gleich wie das Gras vom Rechen just like the grass on the rake
ein Blum und fallend Laub. a blossom and fallen leaf.
Der Wind nur drüber wehet, The wind simply blows across it
so ist es nicht mehr da, and it is no longer there,
also der Mensch vergehet, even so the human passes away,
sein End das ist ihm nah. its end is close at hand.

ARIA (Choir 1)
Gott, nimm dich ferner unser an, God, accept us furthermore,
den ohne dich ists nichts getan for without you nothing is done
mit allen unsern Sachen. by any deed of ours.
Drum sei du unser Schirm und Licht, Thus be our shield and light,
und trügt uns unsre Hoffnung nicht, and if our hopes do not deceive us,
so wirst dus ferner machen. so will you do this furthermore.
Wohl dem der sich nur steif und fest Blessed are they, that fast and firmly,
auf dich und deine Huld verläβt. surrender themselves to you and your grace.

III. Lobet den Herrn in seinen Taten, Praise the Lord for his acts,
lobet ihn in seiner groβen Herrlichkeit! praise him for his great splendor!
Alles, was Odem hat, lobe den Herrn, Halleluja! Everything that has breath, praise the Lord, Hallelujah!

Incredible that this can be obtained with children. To emphasize the end 07:15+ precious the 3 sparkles of voices soprano. So commendable it is the composition (Bach Genius) like its interpretation (magnificent). They are really choirs of angels. Brave vid  \o/

This video of BWV 225 is just overwhelming! No other generation, boy's choir, or any other choir of women or men would not be able to follow this. As much as this is my favorite music, I watched various versions of BWV 225, and this was just the best at the moment when I first watched this. I especially love Alexander L's strong and clear voice vibrating the whole place where they are singing. I can even hear his voice clearly when all the rest of the choir is singing.

@MozartsGeist2008 : Lass mal die Kirche im Dorf, bitte. "Best boys choir"... ^^ Die Tölzer haben sicher im Bereich der Stimmbildung ihre Vorzüge (manche nennen es auch überzüchtet... und letztlich sind bei aller Ausbildung die Knabenstimmen im solistischen Berich doch überfordert!!!), aber ihr Repertoire ist im Vergleich zu den Internatschören doch eher dünn!!! Daher kann man nicht sagen, sie seien nun die besten!!!

There's no phrasing....they sang it without groupings. Although the sounds they are producing are close to being in tune, the interpretation is just "hammer every note you can". Although it's fairly accurate in pitch, it sounds sloppy and unmusical. The most music they do is dynamics - there's no line. I understand they did ALL of it, but that shouldn't be an excuse, I think. Talented choir but they weren't taken to that next step.

So beeindruckend diese Aufnahme ist - piano scheint für die Tölzer ein Fremdwort zu sein. Die Dynamik beschränkt sich auf laut und noch lauter ...
