She was the dancer that danced the long sleeved dance for the Olympics. The dance required her to dance upon a moving platform. During rehearsals, the platform moved a fraction of a second too soon, and she was in the middle of a jump so only one of her feet landed on the platform and she feel two meters. It would have been fine but her spine landed on a piece of metal jutting out of the ground, and that was how she sustained a spinal injury.

Absolutely beautiful! Her control is just amazing and her extensions are just to die for! What is her name? You mentioned that she was very well known in China as a classical dancer.

Her name is Liu (last name) Yan (first name). She is VERY well known as a classical Chinese dancer. And there is very few people in the world who can do what she did.

That is not the case. She is one of the most well known classical Chinese Dance dancer in China, and she graduated from Beijing Academy of Dance.
