This is from the episode "Say Something" in season 5. This was the scene that made me cry like I had never cried before. I thought that a scene as good as this should be uploaded. I got it from gilmorefan.com

  • i wish i could call me ex like this, but even if i could hes not a good guy like luke. hed just call his mommy or sister (that he use to hate until they both started hating me) and just laugh at me. i cant wait until i find someone like luke!

  • i miss this show!!

  • I had never seen The way we were but this episode made me want to see it, which i now have, cried all the way through haha

  • wow...this show was so fantastic...luke and lorelai the perfect couple like Bergmann and Bogart...or Redford and Straisand...i really miss the show...i know its inpossible (unfortunately) to continue but they should make a movie...a lot of people waiting for the opportunity to see them again...

  • I sob uncontrollably every single time I watch this. She's such an amazing actress.

  • For some reason, I can watch this breakup and am okay with it, but I can't watch the later one...

  • The Way We Were (the movie) is on Hulu!

  • I love this scene, although it was sad, and cringe-worthy. I had the exact same reaction that I did with the similar scene in "The Way We Were". I love the "putting away the books" part, because my boyfriend, who had seen the movie just one time, didn't know what she was talking about, but as I had seen the movie so many times (like Lorelai), I knew exactly what she was talking about.

  • Totally describes how I'm feeling right now..
