Dylan I can totally appreciate your enthusiasm and fundamental understanding of rattlesnakes but a few things your not considering.
For one it's illegal to manipulate a threatened or endangered species. That poor snake looks like she just came out of hibernation to thermoregulate. She is probably gravid and needs to be out basking so that her babies develop properly. By pulling her away from her basking spot it just adds unnecessary stress to her.
In the future it's best to leave them as found.

@droconnor82 This is a pretty old video. I would never try anything like this again to be honest. That is way to much stress on a very sensitive species. I was younger, and very very excited at the time. Forgive my lame antics.
