  • If I were shopping for one or the other, I would probably get the SC8. For the slightly higher price, you get the roll cage, metal knuckles, and adjustable metal turnbuckles so you can fine-tune the suspension geometry. However, the Apache does come with threaded shocks (even though they're plastic) vs the SC8 shocks that use preload spacers.

  • Both the SC8 and Apache are running standard 1/8 scale "buggy" wheels so they are completely interchangeable. Because we're cheap, and don't race competitively, we are all using the same pre-glued wheels and tires that we get on eBay from "Suprasales" for like $22/set shipped. They're great because we don't feel too much pain in the wallet after burning through them in only about 2.5 hours (total) of driving.

  • I can only comment on the Apache SC rtr vs an SC8 kit with the MMM 2200kv, since that's what I have. The Apache corners flatter, and handles very predictably if you have to counter an oversteer situation. The SC8 really throws its weight around and is more twitchy when making steering corrections.

We also found that the SC8 and Apache SC bodies fit each other without any modifications. The Apache SC body drops right over the SC8 roll cage, and the SC8 body fits the Apache SC like a glove.

  • so the sc8 corners a lil better, but it looks with those setups the apache is faster? and how durable are they?

  • Nothing like a good old parking lot bash

  • What on road tires did you used for Apache SC and are the tires interchangeable between Apache and SC8 ?

  • So what is your over all thought? If you had to buy one or the other? which one would you recommend and why?

    Thanks

Are a lot of parts can be used from Vorza? A arm look same?

  • Thanks for your response.. I'm trying to decide on which one to get.

  • What are your thoughts on the Apache SC vs SC8e rtr?

  • What do you think of the Apache? You're like the first person to put up a video of it!
