Examp: Hmong hunters would "laig dab" with the animals they killed - birds, fish, deer, boar. It is the same thing. West/SE Asia Hmong have ease in acquiring pigs, chickens, and cattles for such a ceremony so fish is not commonly used but can be. Hope this helps to clarify.

This tradition has been around for so many thousand years and it's still practice in the U.S. today. Why would we think that our traditiion is not as good as others? I think Hmong tradition/culture is the most beautiful in the world. Just that we never claim ourselves to be better. From noe on us Hmong have to share and show other ethnic groups about our tradition and culture. We all should be proud of ourselves that we are born to be Hmong. I am a proud "Tub Hmoob".

You can do this by yourself. Our culture has evolving so much. Add what you know today to what you learn in the past together and make it into a rountine. Soon your great grandchildren will have a distinct miao custom. I think that's how we come about, for the reason of little differences here and there, and now with our graceful freedom, we should embrace our little differences and retain our similairties.
