Fast Food Nation has a gut wrenching chapter on slaughter houses in which the author describes a tour through each section of the facility from the slaughter floor to the freezer. This is difficult and psychologically appalling work. The frenzied work pace set by owners ensures that animals are often cut open while they are still conscious. This frenzied work pace combined with slippery floors leads to many accidents. Notice the workers are all migrants; if they are injured they get nothing.

Again, I ask, why as Americans are we the ones that get to decide what is right and wrong in the world? Cows, chickens, and pigs are all animals too. Why not feel bad for them?

this is rediculous i dont think this should even be alound! these poor animals have done nothin wrong just because they get to old or there not broke doesnt mean u have to kill them! i think this should NOT be alound! im so aginst this! like if u think this commet is TRUE!
