The absolute masterpiece of Italian horror soundtracks for one of Lucio Fulci's most popular movies, The Beyond (AKA The Seven Doors of Death). Haunting, menacing and downright disturbing whilst also being a beautiful score. As the movie is set in Louisianna there's also a great trad-jazz tune thrown in too! It really doesn't get much better than this. Genius

  • @AARGHHHHHHH lol

  • i want to make love to this beat

  • @jwn9 There are few things that make people legitimately cringe. Eyeballs and fingernails. Lucio went with sight which is kind of what the Beyond was all about, especially when you take the ending into consideration. I won't spoil it for people that haven't seen it, but it's epic.

The Beyond is my favorite Fulci film. It's not as innovative as his other films (that may be debatable). But I firmly believe that it's his most well put together film.

  • The music for this movie is fantastic, and the film itself is arguably Fulci's best. It perfectly captures the dread and supernatural evil that would be unleashed if one messed with the cursed book of Ebion. Lovecraft would have cheered at this movie.

  • this movie was hilarious. when the spider pulled the guy's skin off it looked like it was mozerella cheese.

  • viva lucio.viva fabrio.viva italian horror

Hi Morg, Do you like Bruno Mattei's movies? He was still making trashy films after year 2000. I'd recommend movies by him.

    You probably know him anyway...

I'm just trying to find out more myself because I know they are still being made, and I keep hearing names on imdb discussions. I'll have to come back to this.

  • @ExtremeBogom well can you tell me some of them?

  • @Morgethein

Actually the Italians (and other Europeans) are still making films with such flair. They always have, and always will. That period exploitation, and horror was peaking. Nowadays these expressive films seem out of place, so they don't get much exposure. Plus there's a lot of pride in making these films. Many of the directors don't want anything to do with American publishers. A shame really, but understandable.

The films are still being made though, and some sites follow them.

  • @shitatarishitatari C'est pas faux.
