This is an introductory video to QuickGrapher, from Discursive Labs. QuickGrapher is used to easily plot and solve equations. This is the fourth in a series of instructional videos describing the use of QuickGrapher.
VIDEO SCRIPT:
QuickGrapher, from Discursive Labs allows you to easily plot complex arithmatic and logical functions. These functions may be combined to create equations of arbitrary complexity and size.
For instance, consider the logical function "less". Less returns 1 if the first argument is less than the second.
Now consider the arithmatic functions sin() and cos() from the range between 0 and 360 degrees. Sine is less than cosine roughly every other 3 integers.
Now we can easily put these functions together into an equation and view the stepwise graph which results.
For even more fun, let's add some random noise to the graph. Simply multiplying our equation by the random function rand() adds some of that random statistical flavor to our graph. This is the power of QuickGrapher.
isn't that fun!
