  • @paxmowa ok but if i make 7 legs of 4 led this will work for me with one 100 watt leds driver thanks

  • @moto123cross Not gonna work, you need +/- 700 mA per strand of leds, your driver can deliver 3000 mA total, with 7 strands you'd need a power supply that can deliver almost 5 A. On top of that, you'd need big ol mean resistors. If your red leds are actually 3.3V (i'd think 2-2.5V) and you put 4 in series, then drive them with 28V, you need 22 Ohm, 11000 mW resistors (that's 11W of waste heat per strand, time 7 = 77W of waste heat total...) don't forget to add a fan...

  • man i have 1 100 watt driver and i need tomount all my leds on this so i dont need 2 3 watt driver but thanks for the help

  • @moto123cross

What you're trying with that 100W driver isn't gonna work if it's a constant current driver for leds. If it's a power supply, then you can work with series resistors. But going by your drawing, you use the same series resistor for series of LEDs with a different total voltage drop... also, you overstate both red and blue Vf, no way red can drop 3.3V or blue can drop 4V. Don't believe me, believe the once you want to believe

  • @paxmowa if i put resistor on each led its gonna work??

  • @paxmowa so you said if i got a 5a 150 watt driver im good too plug all my leds on that but the problem is i dont find any resistor of 11 watt 22 ohm
