Maximus Arcade 2.10 on my SEGA Astro City Cabinet

Let me start off my saying this video gets cut short due to my camera running out of battery life. So I apologize about that.

This video shows how I have the Maximus Arcade 2.10 frontend set up on my SEGA Astro City cabinet. I set it up so Maximus Arcade automatically boots up when XP has finished loading. An easy trick to do through msconfig and the StartUp folder.

Because it boots right up to Maximus Arcade, the use of mouse and keyboard is eliminated.

How are u connecting the Arcade monitor to the PC? I'm currently working on an Astro Shell to MAME project as well.

I'm using the J-PAC, JAMMA to PC board for the cabinet. You can find it if you Google "J-PAC JAMMA." Hope this helps!

What kind of monitor you got in there?

Is it a regular computer monitor, or a an arcade monitor?

It's an arcade monitor. I believe its the original that came with the cab.

@theacsupercats Hey it would be awesome if you would make a 4 part of 5 part video showing the parts used as well as the mame settings and maximus setting necessary to hook something like this up from your pc to your astro city cabinet. I have an astro cab but Im having trouble getting the monitor to work with my jpac. I have an arcadevga card as well but it could be my settings and I would love to know how you did yours step by step. Thanks for the videos

I m having trouble with instant sheller how did you get maximus to autostart? msconfig, then what?

For anyone wondering it's an idea to run instant sheller once you are at this stage to remove windows and all it's crappery.

Thanks, no problem. I really like candy cabinets, I will probably get one in the future, but it depends if I have the room. I already have an hand built US-style cabinet in my room so it does take up a lot of space, right now I'm waiting on a 22" LCD monitor which will rotate also, so I'm pretty excited about that!
