@mbartok Because more and more kids are starting to listen to metal. I was listening to Cannibal Corpse when I was like 14 and people thought I was weird as fuck. I'm 17 and people STILL think I'm weird as fuck. They just don't understand why I, as a "kid," like Cannibal Corpse. They hear it and say it's disgusting and horrible, until they get my opinion, then their attitude changes to "well, it's what you like, so go ahead and listen to it."

Todays bands might be more skillful technically, but they can't write good metal music for shit like cannibal corpse. Trivium and dragonforce for example, are great players but there own written music are shit.
