    Not sure if anyone knows this, but this scene is based off a real speech given by a general in Vietnam to Oliver Stone and his company as they prepared for an important battle. Obviously it's been reworked for the movie, but it was real. Take it to heart.

    The Mark Messier game 6 performance in game 6 of the 1994 Conference Finals against the New Jersey Devils should follow this speech. He said his team would win game 6 he picked up a hat trick and had an assist in the 4-2 win. He went on to lead the New York Rangers to their 1st title since 1940. You can't teach that!
