As a commercial heating & a/c tech I find myself working on many rooftops. This usually means climbing ladders 20 feet or more up. I have had several different phones over the yrs., this phone is a must for someone that needs, just a phone. I have always used a leather carry case I clip on my pocket and past phones have been broke by 8' drops. When working outside in all climates I have had to take precautions in wet weather, not any more! Leave the droid in the vehicle & carry the taho.

Should I get this phone? I have the rumor 2 and the screen is cracked up.

Who drops their phone from a 2nd floor balcony? The most I've done is dropped mine as I'm getting out of the car (which has happened more than a couple times, sadly, lol).
And you can literally submerge it in water for up to 30minutes. I think unless you're bringing it into the octagon with you, you could probably be the most rugged lumberjack in the world and this phone would hold up just fine.

Best Buy Mobile Sucks Ass... yea sometimes they have good deals, but dealing with the RUDE employees and all the sales pitches is annoying !!!

I wish we could have heard an actual phone conversation while the speaker was being used or video of the tester using the speaker phone in the car so we could see the quality of it while out on the road.

I got this phone Friday...still at full bars. Battery life is actually great...just wish the vid camera was a bit better. Plus you can't use any message alerts other than whats already on phone. I like my willy wonka whistle for texts.
