@spdfrkmr2 because the OS X lay out is practical? it's simple, practical, not a lot going on visually with the desktop. you utilize your extensive resources to find what you're looking for. not sift through a bunch of random folders strewn out in front of you. if you like unorganized Windows you'll love the BumpTop 3D prototype. i've posted a link for you.

I like my windows style just fine, between that and a command line I am happy.

This looks like Windows 8,.. and I am NOT buying that POS... And Ubuntu can't give me this for free.

Why is Ubuntu trying to look like a MAC? First they move the task bar to the Top, then the buttons on the windows to the left, not they have the windows bar merging with he task bar. STOP IT! I hate MAC's!

@spdfrkmr2 Unity isnt bad, its convinient, but dont forget that unity is still unfinished and wont be complete until like 12.04 cuz if its gonna be a lts, it needs unity to be stable, and 11.10 is gnome 3 merge with unity polished
