papaw teaching me the old ASL alphabet

This is the old ASL (American Sign Language) alphabet. He also knew Cherokee Indian sign language and he would teach me both along with the ASL we actually used. I never got the old alphabet down pat, so i asked him to do it for me one last time on film so he could still teach me.

When i recorded it in that moment in time I knew i was doing it for me to watch when he was gone. It's so weird seeing it now. I cherished the last days I spent with him because i knew they were the last. I couldn't have ever imaged then how it would me now. How empty my life it without him to cheer me up and make me laugh. I wish I could go back to this moment in time.

A little bit, a lot of the signs are the same as BSL but there were some he did differently that ASL and BSL.
