@reanime1 clearly you're clueless. You can listen to this and then Amy's and there is absolutely no mistaking one from the other. That "gravel tone" as you call it, is reminiscent of not just Winehouse, but the vast majority of Jazz/Blues singers throughout the genre.

Adele is an inspiration to every little girl who was told she wasnt perfect, that she was fat, or ugly, or whatever, she is proof that what you can offer the world and what you have inside you is more important than whats on the outside, and Amy Winehouse may have made some bad choices but her incredible talent outweighed that surely, its people like you that cause people to hate themselves, stop hating and appreciate.
