Africa's 54th nation will have to move quickly to address the question of people displaced by the war in that country. The refugees, some of whom have already returned are faced with a myriad of challenges chief amongst them access to the most basic of human needs. NTV's Brenda Mulinya reports.

@intimateOt the hundreds in nairobi university or daystar certainly dont share ur sentiments.explain again to me how the us helped when they almost threatened us with an embargo for helping to conceal ur arms shipments, while australia almost threatened to revoke kenyan immigrant visas coz of the no. of illegal sudanese thea having kenyan passports.the best people to bring in and help u build ur oil infrastructure r people prob. from the nordic countries, at least they have souls...

@intimateOt well that certainly is interesting,, kenya is its own sovereign state and there is no way it could have accepted more than 12 million sudanese in their country and give them work permits, thats just insane. however if the US were to match the over 100,000 dinka in kibera, or the hundreds of tena and magiwa estate sudanese residents given legal residence in kenya then i'm going to take ur word for it. ur actually the 1st sudanese i've heard say that.

@madscientistify In fact if truth must be told Kenya never helped us like the rest of the countries did. When kenya realized that we have plenty of resources they embarked on being very friendly with us something that doesn't go down well with the mid age politicians. They never allowed our people to work while in Kenya, treated our people with alot of contempt, discriminated upon us, caused phychological distortion on our children while in kenyan Schools.

@madscientistify The country that deserves more goodies than the rest is USA they were the first to discover oil in Sudan around 1972, they took part in assisting us during our difficult days. The US did much more than any of our neighbours combined. I would support having both China and the US in SSudan because we would capitalize on their rivalry. As for Total (France) they ought to loose their oil concession because they use to cordinate with Khartoum by giving out our location cordinates.

@intimateOt it doesn't in any way dictate ur trade policies, or force u into other such policies like the EAC free travel and settlement agreements.u still maintain ur autonomy. my only worry ryt now, is the oil, the political leadership, and vested interest frm countries like the US and china, infact china ur supposed to chase them completely away seeing how they've aided bashir against u guys.

@intimateOt yeah thats true, everyone wants s.sudan, esp the united states, they have never helped u in any way, they even threatened kenya at one time against helping u guys, bt 1ce they prospect for ur oil, they all of a sudden want to seem the heavenliest of friends sudan has ever had.at ths point the worst disaster ur ever going to make is gve american companies ur oil tenders. what ur not getting abt my point on comesa is that its a free trade bloc, in that no tarriffs r imposed on goods

@madscientistify If you check my comments I said we will sign individual trade agreements with every country that seek trade with us. We have an absolute free market economy within South Sudan but to say we just sign free trade agreements with every country is a reciepy for disaster. We want to protect our interest as well, whatever law we come up with to protect our own we will still advance because those countries want us really bad therefore we will capitalize on that. everyone wants SSudan
