This is a variation of the spring sandwich (typical Italian sandwich named "panino primavera"), but instead of provolone in Italy we put the mozzarella, then salad, a slice of tomato, ham and a bit of mayonnaise. Absolutely never put two types of meat in a sandwich. The secret of a good panino primavera is to warm the bread with the ham in the plates, then add mozzarella, tomato, lettuce and mayonnaise, all cold ... the contrast between hot and cold, brings all the flavors... good appetite.

all depends where you live....Publix supermarkets and Stop & Shop and others carry boar's Head which are pretty darn good
