Back in the 80's we had no MTV or Much Music to get visual stimuli if we weren't creative to imagine it... so we had SOLID GOLD. The Solid Gold dancers, Nicole, Darcelle, Pam, Eileen, Beverley, Jahmillah, Coolie and Mark with their big hair, bad shiny outfits and exotic dance moves gave us a weekly interpretation of our top 10 music. Dionne Warwick was the glue that held it all together...it was a tackier time, a politically incorrect time, a simpler time.
