If I owned all the banks in the world, which meant that I owned all of the money, which meant that all of humanity was in debt to me making them my slaves, giving me power over the whole world AND I was aware that ancient Holy scriptures call for the return of Holy beings to save a handful of loving souls; I would definitely create a conspiracy against that impending Holy event to make people fear it, thinking it's an elaborate hoax.
