I appreciate all comments and I will investigate your observation but if you try this with a live person you will find if they lift either foor there going to the ground. If they dont go to the ground you have improperly applied the technique.

I like the techniqe. Is there a standardized procedure when a correctional officer is performing pat downs and frisks? Might have a line of 30 or more offenders to clear passage from field work area to dorm area.

I am looking for a clear and concise video to train academy cadets and to do refresher training for inservice.

the best pat down I've seen. I don't think a lot of cops go through that much trouble to be safe. maybe because their usually partnered with another officer. when I pat down inmates I'm thorough but I don't do this. I just make them hold out their arms and spread their legs.

i have been patt down by police officers my friend had a bb gun and we were shooting at things they arrived and detained us and searched us found the gun at first they were going to charge us because we got the bb gun illegally but in the end they gave us a warning and made us promise to not do stupid shit again nice coppers i plan on being a copper in a couple of years

Nice in theory, but I cannot see this being functional on the street. Too much exposure if you're in a hostile ... or possibly hostile area. Cuffing the suspect protects the officer if there could be additional hoodlums around.
