  • im so happy my dad introduced me to this band, i'm the only 16 year old in the world thats known of them BEFORE the blink cover

    this songs beautiful :)

  • No you're definitely not!

I was listening to these guys when I was 14, and everyone around me listened to Blink. Always thought Blink were a joke, a pop-punk band? Surely that's something of a contradiction!

Those losers aren't close to The Only Ones, they're miles off... Blink made music that you should grow out of by the time you're 16. The Only Ones made music that is timeless.

  • Seriously man, by the time the next generation comes round, Blink will have been forgotten. They were a nothing band when they were around, and they're a nothing band now.

The Only Ones debut album is considered a must have classic from the period, their music is not only great, but significant.

  • Hail Peter Perrett!!!!!!

  • 3:48

  • these were ahead of their time, loads of bands since3 have ripped the only ones off, just listen to john squires solo stuff!

  • thanx too my parents i have grown up with this music .....its great :D

  • The guitar break on this is one of the greatest ever...

  • You know..I'm not a fan of Blink 182, but at a certain point I think bashing them is kind of pointless and only serves to inflate one's musical knowledge ego... Music, and art, is personal preference.. If Blink's music speaks to someone, let it.. Further, you might consider that when they covered a song by this band that they are exposing kids to cool music they wouldn't know otherwise.. It really get kind of old to me..

  • @stoopidryan8 yeah, replacements and childhood introduced me to this song too. their cover lead to my discovery of the only ones. two wonderful bands in their own right. never much cared for blink 182, but they were big when i wasn't into that type of music. no hatred towards their cover as ive never even heard it, but i do like the replacements and westerberg's different covers of the song.

  • I fucking WORSHIP The Only Ones!!!.... This song right here is a fucking MASTERPIECE along with most of their "conscius-shifting" material they've left for us their DEVOTED fans to have our MINDS MUSICALLY TRANSFORMED for the next three fucking CENTURIES!!!...

  • @whatawaster12 maybe the only american

  • @TheGargantuanSock " pop-punk band? Surely that's something of a contradiction! " looks like you never listened to the Ramones...
