When will the real Peter Garrett stand up for the issues which give him so much credibility amongst Australian voters? Tasmania's ancient Southern Forests are under threat from the voracious woodchip industry, with the consent of the ALP-Liberal forest industry. Garrett's support for a pulp mill makes a mockery of his supposed concern for Tasmania's high conservation value forest.
