sorry to ask a stupid question but have you cleaned the glass lens on the inside as well?

What settings are you using on your camera? Have you tried tweaking them?
i use the 720p version and notice the same thing.

It didn't matter what settings I used. They all produced the same center blur.
VHoldR RMA'd my unit, and the new one produces a much better image. There is still a tiny bit of blur in some spots, but it is barely noticeable.
FWIW, I find the 1080p picture to be way too jittery for riding videos. The 60 FPS of the 720p setting is my favorite thus far. You do notice less detail at 720, but the frame rate and wider angle means it will be better for racing vids.

have you talked to vholdr about this?
I have been thinking of getting one of these camera's myself, but am worried about this very thing.
See, the reason I'm looking to get a helmet camera is to document my rides on my bicycle, and including if someone nearly takes me out in a car I want their number plate on video. This bluring of lettering directly in front therefore puts me off the camera, for this very reason.

VHoldR did RMA the first unit. I received a different unit and did the same test for blur. It is way better, but I can still observe a hint of blurriness in the middle of the screen. I tested it on a ride today, but you really can't notice any blurriness in motion shots. I was alone today though, so no riders in front or around me to make a final judgement.
