I fondly remember Hit Video USA in the late 1980's on KHJ-TV9 (now KCAL) in LA. Why did they not crush MTV, VH1, Z-Rock, etc.? Was it just because HVUSA was in "hick" Texas instead of "trendy" Manhattan? The music mix was the very best of top artists. They knew the music we wanted to buy and the artists we would pay to see in person. Did the bosses not know we were there? Do you remember Ken Murphy, Karen Kay, and the other VJ's? Where are they now? I wish I had those old VHS tapes!
OMG thank you so much for posting this. I remember staying up late to watch Hit Video USA to see NKOTB and totally remember watching this segment. I had this thing taped on VHS and I watched it over and over again. I had it memorized. I had hours and hours of NKOTB taped on VHS lol. Oh the memories...
Wow. Great times. This brings back memories!
