Continuing on from first exercise. Here George is emphasising straightness and a light seat. Jamie was in the second group with her young horse Mystique, but every group began the lesson with poles on the ground.
No specific distances have been mentioned as the exercises were set by George Morris to achieve specific results. The distances for exercises such as these can vary according to the terrain, type of fence and standard of the horse etc. For more detailed explanation the reader would be advised to contact, Vicki Roycroft, Colleen Brook, Chris Chugg, Amanda Madigan, Stuart Tinney, all of whom are experienced teachers and attended the clinic. We would also like to thank Jamie Winning for agreeing to be the photographed clinician with her young mare, Mystique. Jamie too would be one to contact for any specific information about the exercises shown. Finally no one should undertake jumping training without expert supervision.
