Half the humans in this movie were good, the other half not so good. I guess the "Starman" still had faith in humans, overall, though.

Aw... I love this movie, and so does my father! Whenever we talked about it, we could never remember its name, so i used to call it "the jenny hayden movie"! LOL... all i could remember was the way jeff bridges called her "jenny hayden" all the time! LOL...

I have had the vision of this movie in my mind since I was a little kid and could never remember it. Those little balls of light in his hand do all kinds of things right? Isn't there one part where he is in trailer being towed by a truck and some girl is hurt and he heals her with his balls..... Wow that came out wrong.
But anyway I am recalling this correctly?

LOL Yes, this is the same movie you're thinking of. And it does get tricky sometimes to talk about it without it sounding a little 'off'. ;)

Don't know what movie you were watching panacea999; cuz Starman is one of the best movies on both genres!
No, it's not as much action as a Die Hard type of movie, but it was never meant to be that.
It's a sweet & innocent comedy about an alien learning about life & love here on Earth. The action & romance are fit to that theme. I think the romance is one of the sweetest kind's there is; since it isn't based entirely on sex appeal, like most of today's films are. It's sincere & beautiful.
