apple insomnia 24hour video 2007 contest: go8t demon

this is are video for the apple insomnia 24hour video contest 2007. It was entirely produced, from concept to upload in 24 hours. It has been dubbed "go8t demon". the requirements were dutch angles, the name robin darjeeling, the line "don't tempt me" and match-cuts & static... everything, the underwater the robot cartoon, etc... shot in 24 hours... -and to our knowledge it is the only entry using arkaos, though we only used Arkaos for the live video mashup, and finished in imovie 08 -without which, the ability to speedily edit without rendering time and finish in the 24 hour period would have been entirely impossible.

This is cool, I think it would look amazing projected at a club with glo sticks. It was haunting with that soundtrack and hypnotysing. If you want constructive criticism I'd say it would be good to put it into some kind of context, though i appreciate this isn't necessarily the point of the short. nice work.

Thanks a lot, I appreciate the feedback, I know exactly what you mean about the context. the 24hour deadline meant we had to finish filming by noon so we had to chose to go with skit or art video. I haven't seen any other artsy entries to the contest yet so I still think we made an okay choice... still I hope to poop out something cleaner and more focused and made over a longer period of time soon...

wow, i didn't realise it was a 24 hour project! fair play! mw and some friends (including tom/dappercat) did the vid on my page in 48 hours similarly. great fun just putting things together. thats what i love anyway..
