Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was rediscovered by Gotama Buddha more than 2500 years ago and was taught by him as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art Of Living.

This non-sectarian technique aims for the total eradication of mental impurities and the resultant highest happiness of full liberation. Healing, not merely the curing of diseases, but the essential healing of human suffering, is its purpose. Duration: 9 min

Contraindications: If you are being treated for any form of depression or mental illness consult your healthcare practitioner before beginning any form of meditation.

  • The 10 day courses are only the teaching of the beginning / preliminary stages of Vipassana meditation according to S.N. Goenka. With development of the "sensations" technique you will go beyond and begin to observe the mind in action, thoughts, feelings, rising and falling away. There are many different stages. Observing "sensations" is only the beginning. I say this after 15 years of meditation and my own experiences. Thanks you. Go beyond the obvious.

  • my gosh. vipassana is actually 'insight' meditation and only taught by Buddhism. this is just the common and basic way of meditation or 'shamatha'. inappropriate title. pls up this to educate the masses of people before they become misled.
