It feels like they're showing how, no matter the pleasure one may get when they rebel, react to and resist circumstance, the high is always short lived and irrelevant in the big picture as it just creates more of the same. The final shot of the tot walking with the mask in hand could be a metaphor for how grudges, hatred and other violent paradigms are passed on through generations, illustrating the infectious nature of negativity... Or they could just be saying it's fun to break stuff.
