@RussianBoxer84 have you heard of "varangians" yeah, they were SWEDISH. we were a sucessfull swedish tribe which merchanted and raided  whole europe, including persia, iraq, tunisia, marocco. infact, we were so successfull, we were invited to become (at that time) the byzantine emperor's personal guards. or more like "varangian guard". we settled in russia and founded your country. oh and are there any runestones in russia? and varangian runestones are only in sweden, along with 2500 others.

@slowtaknow Depends where in Russia you're from. North West Russia then yes.. You might have relatives from Scan countries.. Vikings were everywhere in Europe though.. From the Black Sea to Iberia to Northern Europe and they left their DNA behind. Tell you the Truth, nobody other than maybe the LAPP or SAMII people are pure pure. Germans(depending in what area) have Slavic, Celt, Viking Blood.. Same with English, Dutch, French Etc.. They all mingled with different Groups of people and tribes.

hahaha you were the real vikings?! vikings only rules you, when they later adopted to your slavic tribes, they never were vikings again.. just check you names, ingvar -> igor, valdemar -> vladimir, helge -> oleg, helga -> olga.. gård -> gorod and so on.. if you were the real vikings, why didn't you rob french moastaries? why aren't you germanic? yeah... exactlly.. funny that you had to "hire" vikings to rule your country, why couldn't you do that by yourself..
